Logline Limbo (https:\/\/twitter.com\/loglinelimbo) was created a while back to inspire us to keep making log lines – for bad, bad puns. \u00a0“When Hollywood says no, we fast track it into production with one mantra on our minds: How low can we go?”<\/p>\n

We did pretty well for about a month and a half:<\/p>\n

Logline Puns<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

When Satan releases Damien on the church, it’s up to Father Michael to slay the demon. “#<\/s>MassMurder<\/b><\/a>“. Coming Soon.<\/p>\n

Holmes is hot on the trail of a theoretical physicist who kills using a 12-gage wire and a multidimensional formula #<\/s>StringTheory<\/b><\/a>: The Movie<\/p>\n

Parents seek #<\/s>revenge<\/b><\/a> when a statistician gives thirty babies a plastic bag to play with. “#RiskOfSuffocation<\/strong><\/span>“. Coming Soon.<\/p>\n

#<\/s>TomCruise<\/b><\/a> is a Nascar driver who must control his demons to win the race and the girl: “Need 4 Speed 2: Cruise Control” aka #<\/s>DaysOfThunder<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Last February, “@<\/s>TheRock<\/b><\/a>” led a Journey there. This October, @<\/s>LiamNeeson<\/b><\/a> will be “#<\/s>Taken<\/b><\/a> 2: The Mysterious Island”.<\/p>\n

And although I didn’t post it until recently, I made it around the same time:<\/p>\n

Only one secret agent can stop an arms maker with low tolerance and military precision. #<\/s>SevenThou<\/b><\/a> #.007<\/p>\n

But while the jokes stopped flowing,\u00a0good ideas didn’t. \u00a0In the mean time, we’ve been contemplating lots of movie ideas, but\u00a0there is a difference between an idea and a plot. \u00a0Between a plot and a story. \u00a0Between story and a scene. \u00a0Between a scene and a movie.\u00a0How does one maintain a\u00a0thread through all of it? \u00a0One argument is to write to your log line. \u00a0http:\/\/zigzorg.com\/?p=1033<\/p>\n

To that end,\u00a0I wanted to write a few quick log lines for\u00a0a handful of ideas that have been mulling about in my\/our head. \u00a0They are by no means polished, but a start and a reminder of the catalog of stories we’d like to pursue:<\/p>\n

Loglines for\u00a0Good Ideas<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Teal and Orange<\/strong> – When an average Joe discovers the colors in his world have been reduced to teal and orange, Joe has to confront this next door neighbor\u00a0who is responsible for this, with the help of an independent thinker down the hall. \u00a0(Short movie idea)<\/p>\n

World Champions<\/strong> – A\u00a0group of NFL rejects find redemption when they’re recruited by a\u00a0patriotic, albeit eccentric\u00a0entrepreneur who has big plans for them in the FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n

Asterisk<\/strong> – When a billionaire\u00a0plans to destroy the middle east with a shower\u00a0of untraceable asteroids, one\u00a0secret agent employs the help of the billionaire’s\u00a0scorned ex-business partner who used to sell asteroid insurance.<\/p>\n

Jurassic Park #?<\/strong> – A boy and his pet pygmy dinosaur are rejected in the community\u00a0until\u00a0they save the town from a derailed train carrying full-size dinosaurs sabotaged by dino-rights\u00a0radicals.<\/p>\n

Galaxy Quest 2<\/strong> – When its discovered that the writers of the show can imagine things into existence, they are taken captive\u00a0by a new alien threat, and the cast of Galaxy Quest must\u00a0pull together to\u00a0free the captives and save the universe.<\/p>\n

The Rock 2<\/strong> – Goodspeed must use the secrets he learned from the microfilm when he is released from prison to stop a group of radicals who took control of\u00a0the Smithsonian archives.<\/p>\n

Those on the List<\/strong> – When everyone on a mysterious list of names starts killing each other, they realize that one of them is a Shapeshifter.<\/p>\n

Identity Crisis<\/strong> – An insecure scientist finally discovers the magic formula that lets him transform at will into anyone he dreams up, but when he tries to use it to enhance his larger-than-life\u00a0girlfriend, she uses it to humiliate him by becoming him.<\/p>\n

Beauty is\u00a0on the Outside<\/strong>\u00a0– When a\u00a0graduate student unlocks the secret of shapeshifting, he learns that true love is more important than true beauty.<\/p>\n

Manifestation<\/strong> – Hobbs has a plan of his own when he’s hired\u00a0to\u00a0manifest\u00a0a living human being\u00a0in the real world\u00a0from a fabricated memory\u00a0in the dream world.<\/p>\n

Under the Bridge<\/strong> – David Willoughby takes the side of conspiracy theorists deliberately despite the scientific evidence he presents to refute them\u00a0–\u00a0to the point of absurdity. \u00a0(web-series idea)<\/p>\n
