The Pizza Man

Based on two pranks we did (and avoided doing) on real Pizza Men, we decided to string it into a story and have some fun with it.
1) Yes, our best friend next door neighbor actualy almost pulled a toy gun on a pizza man when we called him and just said “Knock Knock” right after the pizza man mistakingly came to our door first.
2) Yes, our other best friend (the black guy here) was wearing a red shirt (not blue) when the pizza man came and we had him stuff a toy gun in his belt and pull out a wad of cash to pay the guy. And yes, the pizza man actually asked him if he wanted his change back and, yes, the black guy said yes, only to have us tell him to yell, “keep the change” when we found out.

This was made the summer before our Junior Year of High school.

El Gran Robo

A thief-playing-pizza-man occupies a frustrated man while the thief’s partner breaks open a safe downstairs. Acting as the “pizza man”, the thief pulls out all the stops!!

La Catrina – La Pelicula

La Catrina – The Movie. A spoof of the mini-series we had to watch in Spanish class (way back when) where Jamie (Jaime?) discovers she is the heir (heredera) to a large Mexican estate (La Jacaranda) owned by the lady known as La Catrina, who is her grandmother. It was so under-produced, but you can’t ask for much from an under-budgeted educational piece. WE were wondering: What would happen to the story if Hollywood got its hand on it. Well, WE got our hands on it, and we cranked it up a notch! We spent 2 or 3 days on this and one hard-core night to get it done in time for extra credit. We borrowed lines from the mini-series and had our mother translate the stuff we didn’t know. But you know what? We actually learned a little something along the way!

E.T. the Extraordinary Tank

A “bad pun” dramatized and visually realized in 3D (cgi).

More of an exercise in animating in virtual worlds in the now-defunct Bryce 5 — a horrible program for *making* 3D models, but acceptable yet still difficult to move them about, and fine for adding (pre-made) textures. Some visual effects were added in Premiere (lens flares, dissolves).

This film was finished toward the end of eighth grade as far as I remember. Around the same time we finished “Explosoft” which appeared at the end of Rise of Naziism as the end of the war.

Speed: Ticket

This was the first film we ever edited using a non-linear editing system (Pinnacle Studios). We would later get Adobe Premiere 6 about 2 years later, learn Final Cut Pro, and now (Oct 2011 to Apr 2013 at least) we use Premiere CS 5.5.

It stars our cousin who inspired us to make films, our dad who provided us the camera, and of course the twins. We wrote this and E.T. about the same time, but E.T. took years to finish.

The only version we have is a compressed MPEG file that came from the software. Be careful of the awful sound (extremely quiet then extremely loud and unclear sometimes).

This was filmed during Christmas break our during our 6th grade. The summer before 6th grade we had filmed a movie about Bob Dole hallucinating about saving the world through cheese.
